The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority

NYSERDA seeks to improve the performance, sustainability, and resiliency of municipal water and wastewater treatment infrastructure. Zero-net energy wastewater treatment plants are ones where energy demand is balanced with energy generated from on-site renewable sources.

ARPA-E seeks to support transformational research in all areas of energy R&D, including resource identification, extraction, transportation and use, and energy generation, storage, transmission and use in both the transportation and stationary power sectors.

Rural Energy for America Program

Rural Energy for America Program/Energy Audit and Renewable Energy Development Assistant

The REAP/EA/REDA Grant Program will provide grants for energy audits and renewable energy development assistance.

Proposals are due by July 15.

Rural Energy for America Program/Renewable Energy Systems/Energy Efficiency Improvement Program

The REAP/RES/EEI Grants Program provides grants for energy audits and renewable energy development assistance. It also provides funds to agricultural producers and rural small businesses to purchase and install renewable energy systems and make energy efficiency improvements.

 

California

The California Energy Commission

The CEC seeks to fund demonstration projects that convert used medium-duty gasoline and diesel vehicles to all-electric drive.

Proposals are due by Aug. 21.

The CEC if offering low-interest loans for energy efficiency and energy generation projects.

The California Energy Commission

The Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grant Program will provide more than $35 million for small cities and counties in California. The local governments can use these funds for cost-effective energy efficient projects in their communities. Projects might include lighting retrofits, building upgrades, mechanical equipment, clean energy systems, various energy management controls and other energy efficiency measures.

Available until funds run out.

Delaware

The Delaware Energy Efficiency Investment Fund

The Delaware EEIF seeks energy efficiency projects that reduce fossil fuel energy consumption in buildings, promote energy efficiency and conservation in buildings, create and retain jobs, and stimulate economic development. The program offers competitively awarded grants and low-interest loans.

Proposals are due on a quarterly basis, by Aug. 15.

Michigan

The Michigan Energy Office

The Michigan Energy Office will provide funding for the following opportunities for the State Energy Program Fiscal Year 2013. Over $500k in total is available for these projects, which will assist Michigan businesses and local governments reduce their energy consumption, air emissions, and deploy innovative clean energy technologies that can be widely adopted.

  • Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Education & Outreach Events Program: The Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Education & Outreach Events Program will educate consumers on how they can foster both community and economic reinvention in the state by effectively lowering the amount of money they spend on energy with cost-effective energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies and products. 10-20 awards will be made at $500-$3k each with $25k total available.  More on this energy efficiency request
  • Rebuild Michigan RTA Direct Voucher Services Program: The Rebuild Michigan Program is offering Direct Voucher Services to Regional Technical Assistants for commercial energy audits and related project planning services. More on this energy efficiency request
  • Building Operator Certification Program: The Building Operator Certification Program is expanding training opportunities in Michigan during 2013. The course equips its graduates with the knowledge and skills to save energy, reduce operating costs, and improve the overall efficiency and comfort of their facilities. The MI Energy Office, in conjunction with other BOC sponsors, will be offering tuition rebates of up to $350 to operators that complete training and receive certification.  More on this energy efficiency request

 

New Jersey

The New Jersey Economic Development Authority

Money is available for companies to site Class I renewable energy or energy efficiency product manufacturing facilities in New Jersey. New Jersey clean technology manufacturers can receive funding for project assessment and design, or project construction and operation.

Applications are now being accepted in an open, rolling process and will be reviewed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

New York

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority

NYSERDA seeks projects that develop, demonstrate or commercialize transformative technologies that provide an energy benefit to a manufacturing process. The solicitation seeks proposals from:

  • Technology Developers who intend to produce a transformative product/service in New York State, that will provide a significant energy benefit for manufacturing processes
  • Technology Users who intend to use a transformative manufacturing process in NYS that will provide a significant energy benefit

Proposals are due by July 16 and Oct. 16.

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority

NYSERDA seeks proposals from technology developers to accelerate commercialization of industrial process technologies through multiple full-scale industrial demonstrations. Technologies must have previously received NYSERDA-R&D support, must have demonstrated success previously, and must have business and marketing plans. However, they cannot be widely accepted or deployed in the marketplace yet.

Proposals are due by Aug. 13.

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority

The NYSERDA Agriculture Energy Efficiency Program offers assistance in identifying and implementing electric and natural gas energy efficiency measures to eligible farms and on-farm producers, including but not limited to: orchards, dairies, greenhouses, vegetables, vineyards, grain dryers, and poultry/egg.

The Combined Heat and Power Acceleration Program provides incentives for the installation of pre-qualified and conditionally qualified CHP systems by approved CHP system vendors in the size range 50kW – 1.3MW.

NYSERDA seeks proposals for development and demonstration activities that advance the energy performance of both new and existing buildings in the residential, multi-family or commercial sector. Technology areas of interest include, but are not limited to: construction materials, strategies and practices; HVAC and lighting technologies, automation technologies enabling load flexibility and smarter background operations; and building integrated renewable energy systems.

Proposals for round 3 are by Dec. 3; round 4 by June 4, 2014; and round 5 by Dec. 3, 2014; and round 6 by June 4, 2015.
